Winning!!!
Today we got a chance
to do pitch practice in our Genesis workshop. Our group Pitcher was Murray. He
presented out our product very well to the class. He spoke passionately about
our bag and was able to cover all the six basis of the pitch; who you are, your
concept, brand, product testing, numbers and lastly what you want. All this was
done in 2 minutes. This was preparation for next week’s Pitch at UCT graduate
school of business in Waterfront.
We later had our weekly
meeting with Stuart, but before that we received a message from our
manufacturer about the total cost of producing our bag which was R 230 per
unit. We were really all shocked by this high price because we told her that we
can only afford R 150. So we knew that Stuart was going to be very disappointed
with us, as he advised to keep our options open. But surprisingly he was very
encouraging and supportive.
It was at this meeting
that he also announced to us that we are the winners of cake sale 2; therefore
we get to have a three course meal for dinner with him at his house.
Winning!! I think somehow we knew that
we won; it was a matter of confirmation from him. We are not called team
awesome for nothing.
